We loved double room provided with a super comfy enormous bed. Had coffee/tea making machines and glassware at our disposal. Everyone we met from the staff was amicable. Location: the hotel was near to Salcombe / Dartmouth, the coast and so many great beaches, walks and local towns...

The breakfast at The Whitehouse was simply outstanding. Every morning, they served a delicious selection of both continental and cooked options. I particularly enjoyed their homemade banana bread, which was absolutely divine. The hosts, Chris and Katie, were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. They provided excellent recommendations for exploring the surrounding towns and villages. The location of the hotel was perfect, allowing us to easily discover the beautiful South Hams area. The interiors of The Whitehouse were stunning and the rooms were both comfortable and beautifully decorated. One of the best parts was that the hotel is dog-friendly, which was a huge plus for us as we were able to bring our furry friend along. The garden was amazing, and we loved relaxing with a G&T from the honesty bar. I highly recommend The Whitehouse for a wonderful stay in a beautiful location.
Just a small consideration - the lack of a partition door in the room made it a bit less private, especially when using the toilet. However, this was not a major issue for us as we were a couple sharing the room.

We stayed at The Whitehouse for a weekend getaway and it exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was the best we've ever had at a hotel - fresh and locally sourced. Our room was clean and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed. The hosts, Chris and Katie, were warm and accommodating, providing great tips for day trips and dining. They even welcomed our dog and made him feel right at home. The location is perfect for exploring the South Hams area, with a fantastic pub within walking distance.
Recommend this hotel.

We recently stayed at a charming hotel in Devon. the location was fantastic, secluded and quiet. We were impressed by the beautiful room and the attention to detail in the decor. the breakfast included locally sourced ingredients, and we particularly enjoyed the homemade specials. the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and provided excellent recommendations for day trips. the gardens provided a safe and tranquil space for our furry friend.
The only slight negative was that the bathroom lacked privacy due to the lack of a partition door. we highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and comfortable stay in the countryside.

The breakfast was tasty and well-prepared, and I enjoyed the local ingredients used in the dishes. the location was very convenient for exploring the surrounding area, with plenty of nearby attractions and sights to check out. On top of that, the room was clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the excellent customer service provided by the hosts.
I found the lack of privacy in the room to be a significant downside, as there was no partition door separating the toilet area from the rest of the space. This made it a bit uncomfortable when sharing the room with someone else, especially during intimate moments.

The value for money at this hotel was excellent, we got so much more than we expected. The room was cozy, beautifully decorated, and equipped with a super comfy bed. The location was perfect, tucked away in a quiet area but still close to a wonderful village pub. The staff treated us like family and went above and beyond to make our stay special.
The breakfast options could have been more varied each day, but honestly, that's just nitpicking. The breakfast itself was very nice!
